The chaps over at Cycle Surgery appear to have a keen sense of timing.

As the Spring weather takes hold and we think about either dusting off our best bike or, like a good friend of mine, building up our new machine for the new cycling season, CS are offering some staggering deals on tools, lubes and cleaning products.
Take the Mucoff Bike Essentials Cleaning Kit for example - down from £24.99 to £14.99. Enough to tempt me into tackling the filthiest of my bikes! Pedros Green Fizz Bio Wash is now only £3.99, down from £7.99 and the excellent GT-85 Teflon Spray Grease is only £2.99 from £4.99. All perfect for knocking your bike up into tip-top shape.

I've had my eye on the Park Tool Tool Roll for a little while and now Cycle Surgery have it for just over £30 from £54.99 it looks very tempting indeed.
And if you really are in the mood for some serious cycle tinkering, the Feedback Bike Repair Stand, which is usually £124.99 is down to £74.99. Perfect for that summer bike build...
It's Timeout Tuesday again over at Cycle Surgery.
This week we can grab ourselves up to 40% off selected jackets and jerseys.
There are no stand-out deals, although there is a lot of kit discounted, so you might want to head over there to take a look through.
Be quick though, as this discount applies to kit bought today only...
This week Cycle Surgery are offering up to 40% off all SealSkinz gloves, which is apposite given the icy conditions we've been enduring in the UK recently.
I was out over the weekend, picking a line between icy patches, crossing my fingers I would stay upright.
I did stay upright, but boy those fingers I had crossed were getting cold, and there's little worse on a bike than numb fingers.
So, perhaps it's time to upgrade to a pair of SealSkinz Thermal Gloves, down from £49.99 to £29.99. What price warm hands?
The full range of gloves are discounted for today only, so let your fingers do the walking, right over to the Cycle Surgery website.
The last of the snow is just starting to clear out this way, and not before time.
With sub-zero temperatures deep freezing this part of the world, turning innocuous looking damp roads into treacherous expanses of black ice, I have returned to my trusty, if someone tired, turbo trainer.
To ease the pain, or perhaps as it turned out to increase it, I sought out some DVD inspiration and thanks to Cycling Weekly grabbed some copies of the new 3LC training sessions.
So I have been training with the Manx, for these DVDs hail from the Isle of the three legs - Mark Cavendish even features on the sprint DVD - and feeling the pain. Oh boy did I feel the pain.
But I have to say it has been great fun so far - much better than training on my own, and much better than taking a tumble out on the glacé roads. And having Peter Kennaugh Snr tell me what to do and when, and even having him congratulate me when I finish, albeit generically, gives me a bit of a boost...
So it is with interest that today I see Timeout Tuesday at Cycle Surgery are offering up to 40% off their indoor trainers and accessories.
I am tempted to upgrade my rather knackered trainer and like the look of the Tacx Trainer Flow, reduced from £409.99 to £279.99. Not a bad discount for such a nice piece of kit.
Accessories are reduced too, so a front wheel riser from Kinetic is down to £10.79 from £17.99 and a Tacx Sweat Cover down to £15,59 from £25.99.
Maybe one day I will treat myself to the king of indoor trainers, the Tacx Trainer Fortius and feel the burn as I ride up the Alpe in the comfort of my own home. But even after a 40% discount, £731.49 is an investment too far...
It's Tuesday once again - we seem to have at least one each week at the moment - so it's time for another Cycle Surgery Timeout.
This week they are offering an eye-watering 50% off all Polar heart-rate monitors.
This is really bad news for anyone who was lucky enough to get one for Christmas, but great news for anyone looking to buy one now. The terrific CS200 cadence for example, and I can vouch for this as a piece of quality kit, is down from £134.50 to just £67.25. That's a bargain.
If you want a budget heart-rate monitor look no further than the CS100B now only £32.75 from £65.50.
Or if you like to mix it with the big boys and have a wallet to match, give the HRM FT80 G1 with GPS a try - was £394.50, now just £197.25.

Even if you have a bike computer with heart-rate, it would make sense to buy another.
At these prices it almost seems rude not to... They even come with a free Polar pouch to keep your new kit in!
Looking for a new helmet? If so, Cycle Surgery have a great offer on the Specialized S-Works.
They have £50 knocked off the price, bringing it down to £79.99 - a great price for a top of the range helmet.
If Giro's helmets are more you, the Atmos might be more your thing. Cycle Surgery have this reduced from £129.99 to £86.99 - almost as good a bargain as the Specialized...
If you're interested, check out the Cycle Surgery website. This offer is valid for today only...
Like Bontrager kit? I have to confess to never having used any myself as I have always had a preference for Italian kit to go with my Campag and Bianchi stuff.
However, if Bontrager is your bag, you might want to get yourself over to Cycle Surgery for their Timeout Tuesday.
For today only they are offering up to 50% Bontrager carbon kit and it looks like there are some serious bargains to be had.
XXX HCM VR road bar is now £99.99 down from £169.99 and the matching stem £79.99 from £149.99. Grab yourself a seatpost to match for £64.99 reduced from £129.99 and maybe even a carbon bottle cage for £22.49 reduced from £44.99.
You could always put them on your Christmas wish list...
This week Cycle Surgery's Timeout Tuesday offers a break from tradition. I pride myself on this being a blog with a bias for road cycling, but today I am giving you deals on mountain bike kit.
At this time of year I figure even us road cyclist's could do with some extra protection, or even some off the bike kit. And of course a lot of mountain bike kit lends itself well to the biking commute into work.
With this in mind, I am liking the Five Ten cycling shoes a lot, and this Timeout Tuesday has the Hellcat SPD shoe for £62.99 down from £104.99. They also have the less practical-coloured but no less desirable Minnaar shoe for £65.99 down from £109.99.
Other than that, there's a few pairs of baggies on offer and some body armour, but you'd have to be looking at a pretty far-out commute to be needing the latter. Although with the traffic on the roads, there could be a use for it...
So, if you want to grab any of this kit at low prices, you just need to get yourself along to the Cycle Surgery website - and remember, these deals are for today only.
Where does the time go?! Yes, it's Timeout Tuesday again and this week Cycle Surgery are offering a whole 50% off their favourite RSP front and rear light set.
This week we just need to use TT113 as the checkout code.
Now these are some serious deals as the RSPs are akin to Cateye's commuter range, so grab a bargain today whilst this deal is on.
I like the look of the Radian light set - perfect for the urban commute. Not great to see with, but very good indeed to be seen by...
Even if you run other lights a second set is always useful to have as a backup.
It's Timeout Tuesday again over at our friends at Cycle Surgery. Today we have a whole bunch of jerseys on offer with 40% discount.
If you fancy yourself as Cav screaming down the Champs Elysees in the classic HTC green jersey, well now you can, without breaking the bank.
Just take yourself along to the Cycle Surgery website and use TT112 as the checkout code.
And remember this is for today only...
It's Timeout Tuesday over at Cycle Surgery again and today they have some great deals on Assos kit - up to 50% off.
Simply use TT111 at checkout to get the discount and you can pick up a Stinger Winter hat for £15.46 down from £30.99, a Mille Short Sleeve jersey for £66.49 down from £132.99 or maybe some Fi Mille S5 bib-shorts for £84.99, reduced from £169.99.
You can also pick up an excellent Assos winter jacket for £124.49 reduced from £248.99. Just the ticket as the weather turns against us...
Cycle Surgery's Timeout Tuesday is offering discounts on bike maintenance kit today. By using TT110 at checkout you can save yourself cash on Park tools, lubrication and bike cleaners.
My favourite bike cleaner brand, Fenwicks, is down to £4.79 from £7.99 - this stuff makes cleaning your bike so much easier at this time of year. OK, so the roads aren't too bad right now, but I guarantee we'll be riding through Belgian toothpaste before long and Fenwicks cuts through that stuff with ease.
What else? There's Finish Line lubrication too, which is some of the best available. Finish Line Dry Lube for example is down to £7.19 from £11.99.
All in all another useful batch of goodies on offer from the guys at Cycle Surgery.
