Quite a few deals to take a look at this weekend as the bargains ramp up again ahead of the Christmas rush.
First up are Ribble Cycles, who are offering a mighty 25% off winter clothing for this weekend only. I know the temperatures are holding up at the moment, as I discovered on my ride home from work this evening, but we all know that at some point soon we will be suffering in the teeth of those lazy northerly and easterly winds that blow relentlessly chilling us to the bone.
Proper winter kit will keep us on the road in comfort and Ribble have some great deals. 25% off jackets, bib-tights, overshoes, head wear, socks, arm warmers, leg warmers and base layers. You name it they have it on sale. My pick of the bunch? Well, that would be all the Castelli kit - an uber-stylish way to stay toasty warm on the bike this winter...
Always Riding are offering £20 off baskets of £150 or more until 15th November. Just use the code FWXX222 at checkout to get the saving.
After some Sidi cycling shoes? Maybe you fancy cooking up a pair like messrs Basso and Nibali on that really annoying eurosport ad? Well now's your chance as Merlin Cycles are offering 20% off their already competitive prices on any pair of Sidis. Just use SIDI20 at checkout to take advantage of this one. This brings the rather excellent Genius 5 Pros down to £134.95...
Fancy some free energy chews? Well, I say 'free' but of course there's a catch. But if you fancy spending a not unsubstantial £50 on the ZipVit website they will throw in a case of short dated stock energy chews, worth £30. Just use the code ZV10 at checkout. Not sure your dentist will thank you mind...
Finally, and I surely have left the best 'til last? Do you run a Garmin sat-nav? Maybe you have the team kit, you know all the riders' names, you’ve even thought about learning a second language to prove you are a cycling superfan! Well here is your chance to take the next step in argyle fandom – download Garmin’s newest GPS voice from the Garmin Garage later this month and let the unpredictable Dave Zabriskie act as your copilot. This free voice for your navigator is Garmin's way of saying thank you for your support!
Oh dear - where does the time go? Last time I looked it was Tuesday and now it's Friday evening... Still, at least it's the weekend!

Bargains are still coming at me thick and fast, so a quick update. Planet X are offering deals on Mavic Road wheelsets - Cosmic Elites are £279.99 down from £354.99 and the excellent Ksyrium Elites are £389.99 from £485.99. Ksyrium Equipes are £269.99 for black or £279.99 for white both down from £339.99. Why a tenner more for the white set I wonder? They do look rather nice mind...
Ribble cycles are running one of their many stock-take discounts - those boys really like to keep on top of their kit don't they? So, on top of their existing 20% off they are offering an additional 10% discount off all products (*not bikes or groupsets) - simply add SALE10 as the code at checkout.
Merlin Cycles are also offering 10% all their kit - this time the code is WINTER10 at checkout. Merlin's prices are always some of the keenest, to another 10% off their prices should make for some tempting purchases.
Tredz have got some good deals on their website at the moment - there are some pretty impressive discounts. There are savings of at least 30% on a lot of their kit...
Finally I will leave you with another Planet X special as they really know how to put an offer together. This time they would apparently have a job lot of LOOK 596 team replicas they need to dispose of, as they are offering this handsome machine not at it's RRP of £6,199 but for an mouth watering £3,799. That is a lot of bike for what is still a lot of money, but not nearly as much as it should be.
The catch, as of writing this blog they only had 6 available. So be quick.
If I had £3,799 I would be tempted. But I don't, so that's one offer I will leave for someone else to snap up...
There are some great savings to be made this weekend on cycling kit. Ribble cycles have savings on Cateye lights and a 10% discount on Cycleops indoor trainers, for those of us not wanting to venture out so much in the winter months. Just use the code OPS10 at the Ribble checkout.
Ribble also have a 20% discount offer on most of their kit at the moment too, plus some supersized superdeal discounts. One that caught my eye is the eye-watering 52% knock-down on the Keo compatible Exustar pedals, in both black and white flavours. This brings them down to a winter bike friendly £23! The only catch is a minimum spend of £35, so you would have to throw something extra in your basket before checking out. How about an Elite Hygene bottle and cage for £10.99 - now that's a 52% saving again. Happy days.
Or maybe you're after some winter tyres - well Ribble have some Prorace Power folders for pretty much half price, at £11.50 a pop, in red, blue and black.
ProBikeKit have 20% off energy products from Powerbar, High5, ZipVit and Clif, amongst others, so now is a great time to stock up on drinks and gels. Also, if you were inspired by the mighty Thor's win into Caerphilly yesterday, or are just excited at the prospect of next week's World Championships in Copenhagen, PBK also have some impressive discounts on rainbow stripes kit. Just be careful how you wear it...
Building up a winter hack or cross bike? Wiggle are also in sale full-swing, and have up to 30% off contact point components. There really are some amazing savings to be had on Zipp, FSA, Fizik, Prologo and Truvativ kit. There is a particularly lovely set of FSA Wing Pro bars in white going for a song with 36% off.

This one deserves a mention, as I have never seen a deal like this before. Planet X are offering a BOGOF deal on one of their bikes. That's right, buy one of their On-One Carbon Whippets for a shade under £1500 and you get a free On-One Pompino Urban bike worth £600. That's a crazy deal. You have to be quick for that one mind, as that offer runs out at midnight tonight. You have been warned...
Happy shopping!
